Excellent hotel, the major problem is parking space, but this is a general problem in Ohrid.
location, kind staff, clean rooms, price
there is a certain smell in rooms due to unproper sistem of canalisation
Excellent location just few steps from lake's bank. On the same side as old historic city of Ohrid. Young and very kindly staff. Big and clean room.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was very good.
There was no matress on the bed so the sheet kept falling off and it was quite uncomfortable. The blinds were not so good as the sun came in at 6 o`clock in the morning.
The location of the hotel is brilliant, very romantic setting, close to everything Ohrid has to offer.
Very clean and well furnished rooms, with lots of open views of Lake Ohrid.
The son of the hotel owner kindly drove me to the bus station by his car very early morning since his mother could not book the taxi that I had ordered the day earlier.
Hotel staffs were kind
They might want to fix a door lock of the room, the sink in the bathroom, heater in the room, and TV controller...and if possible the internet access to be improved.
Hotel is near the old city an has nice view.
Cold rooms, a bit noisy and wi-fi problems
Excellent location on the lake, very nice , polite personnel,
No lobby at all, no elevator (it is a 3 floor hotel), no hot water all day long, no good heating
Staff most friendly and helpful..Initially we were not happy with the room available - certainly not "de luxe" as described on website but next morning the very helpful manager gave us an apartment at the same price
The fittings and facilities were not 4 star standard but 3 star There were lots of things in need of repair eg the Roman blinds on top floor could not be rolled up and had to be taken on and off by velcro fastening! This was what management recommended we should do.
Hotel is in city center and is very close to lake about 5 meter and if you hire a room with lake view, that would be wonderfull. Also room cleanliness, location and staffing is excellent.
There is nothing we disliked.
Location and view were excellent. Price offered was great. It was more suitable as a family than for a single man or woman.
I liked the hotel and the only thing that I might add as small problem was the noise from the street at night.
The location-I'm torn whether to say it's a plus or a major downside. It's on the lake shore, right in the centre of Ohrid. You won't find better views combined with better access to anything of interest in any other hotel. The rooms are large and pleasant, bathrooms are clean, and most rooms have a terrace and many windows to enjoy the views. Breakfast was absolutely astonishing-probably one of the best we've had in the Balkans, and the staff did their outmost to make us welcome-up to sending a big plate of fresh fruit to our room one afternoon.
If you're going in the summer and you're not planning to party all night with the crowds, please don't choose a hotel on the waterfront. The noise on the three nights we stayed was unbearable-we had no sleep at all. Even with the windows shut, it was loud and it kept going until 5 am. There was air con but was only moving air around, not chilling it, the fan did not help either. The bed was uncomfortable and the bedsheets too small for the bed, the blinds only decorative. Light was streaming into the room since 5 am, after the noise stopped. With proper air conditioning, generous sound proofing, and black-out blinds this would be a great place for a week-end. Also, don't drive there if you like your car. Parking is present but inadequate.
It's small and lovely, with a nice wiev from whichever room. They can arrange a massage for you and I guess also other services on demand. Breakfast was very nice, with diversity of food. It's great that one can have his breakfast outdoor, the very next to the lake.
It's not possible to collect all costs (dinner, massage...) and pay them all together at the reception when check out. My room was not very clean, there were hairs of the cleaning lady (I assume) when I took it over. Also the rooms (at least mine - 205) are poorly noise-isolated, I heard my neighbours as if there was a paper wall between us. Also an elevator would be welcome.
Good location and good reaturant
